Matt French talks about his childhood and some of his early work with Mervin Manufacturing.
Matt French is a talented, prolific, Skateboarder/Artist/Dad from Bellingham Washington. Versatile in almost any art medium, Matt creates in the middle of the night when the world around him is calm and the madness of the day can flow out of his fingers onto fancy out-of-production paper, plywood, particle board, or whatever garbage he can dig up to paint on. Matt did all of the art for Freedom Dolly.

Mervin’s Tim Stanford was sent on a Matt French video assignment and got side tracked to Mt. Baker for the day. On the way up he noticed a dude hitch hiking with a Lib Tech Box Scratcher. Being in the “Driver’s Seat” Tim picked him up to talk Scratch. It turns out he’s friends with Matt French, double hucks himself and rips on a longboard. Here is Brian Honcoop ripping in Bellingham Wa. on a Freedom Dolly longboard. We also tossed in that double hucker.
